Karl Tuffy
Karl is an advisor, co-founder, entrepreneur and served as an executive director since 2009, with over 20 years of experience in commercial and global business development. After co-founding a business in 2009 and growing it to a multimillion dollar entity – the business was acquired by KKR in 2021 while he served as CEO. Karl progressed to become VP of a Global business in the acquirer’s portfolio company until 2025 with responsibility for Sales, Operations (in EMEA and the United States) as well as Product Management. Strategic processes and execution carefully aligning with the vision and purpose of the organisation remain his key focus. As an Advisor he is working with companies on projects driving growth – from strategic partnerships with respect to the revenue side of the business canvas and then to more organic items specifically - commercial excellence, demand generation and sales force guidance. In addition, as part of sustainability as a theme – he is working with startups seeking to disrupt the materials space from an environmental aspect– while broadening the sustainability theme from the outset to address the other core parts of sustainability framework namely human rights, anticorruption and as well as labour placing emphasis on double materiality to the broader organisation.
